New iPhone Software Patents
New patents for the Apple iPhone have emerged today, everyone is keen to see what tricks the next version of the iPhone's software will hold. There was a lot of criticism about the iPhone's inability to do basic things such as MMS (MultiMedia Messaging), copy paste and video recording. This has gradually changed in recent firmware updates and the release of the 3GS, so we hope to see some more original features coming next.
The firs patent involves allowing users to send a message to a current caller. The second patent is similar and involves the automation of the speaker phone (new sensors would allow the device to know when it should be working in speakerphone mode). Nothing too exciting, but enough to stir the waters of interest amongst iPhone users.
